Located right on the beach, with views over Beqa Lagoon and out to the island of Beqa, is the new and vibrant Uprising Beach Resort, Pacific Harbour's 'youngest' accommodation option. The property was conceived with the young and active scuba diver in mind, and is ideal for those looking for a beachside bure on Fiji's main island in a place to stay where there is plenty to do.
The list of activities is what sets Uprising apart and includes jetskiing, wakeboarding, beach volleyball, hobie-cat sailing, as well as river rafting. Diving in Beqa Lagoon and the shark feed dive at Shark Reef are the 2 most popular pastimes. There is a swimming pool next to the large bar and restaurant, which can be a lively place especially at weekends when some of the young and beautiful of Viti Levu drop in to enjoy the beach bar atmosphere and mix with the guests. There is normally always something going on here such as beach volleyball or people riding horses along the beach.
There are 11 bures in 2 rows with 6 being beachfront and 5 garden view. There are also 12 deluxe villas with 8 being beachfront and 4 garden view. The entire property is constructed using local materials and traditional techniques and consists only of single storey structures. The rooms are good quality for a mid range resort and each has its own huge open-air shower and balcony.
There are other options in the area for those seeking peace and quiet but for the active and young (or young at heart), Uprising can be just the place for a fun and lively Fiji diving holiday.
There are 11 affordable bures and 12 air-conditioned deluxe villas At Uprising Resort, each with private open air shower, terrace and garden area. The 10 beachfront bures and villas have unrestricted sea views, and the 13 garden bures and villas have garden views. There is also one budget 20-bed shared dormitory for low budget travellers.
Each room is built using Fijian materials and techniques with high ceilings and spacious interiors. There is 1 double and 1 single bed in each room, with extra beds available on request.
All the bures have:
Ceiling and stand fans
