Day 1
Your adventure begins at Lautoka Harbour, where the crew of Nai'a will warmly welcome you on board the liveaboard. Once all guests have arrived and settled into their cabins, the boat will depart, marking the start of your diving expedition through Fiji’s breathtaking marine paradise.
After a safety briefing and orientation, you’ll enjoy a relaxed check dive in the afternoon. This first dive is the perfect opportunity to get familiar with your equipment, adjust to the water conditions, and ease into the rhythm of life at sea. The check dive often takes place on a beautiful, sheltered reef close to shore, already giving you a glimpse of Fiji’s incredible coral life.
In the evening, unwind with your fellow guests as the sun sets over the ocean. It’s a great chance to get to know your liveaboard crew, meet your dive guides, and look ahead to the thrilling diving days to come.
Core Days
This is when the real magic begins. Over the following days, you’ll fully immerse yourself in Fiji’s rich underwater world, diving up to 4 times daily. The route is designed to showcase the very best of the Bligh Water, Koro Sea, and the islands of Gau, Makogai, and Wakaya. You'll experience a stunning variety of reef systems, sheer pinnacles, thrilling passages, and dramatic coral walls, all bathed in the vibrant colours for which Fiji is famous.
Prepare for world-class action at sites like Nigali Passage, a shark-filled channel where grey reef sharks patrol the entrance as schools of barracuda and trevally swarm in the current. In the Bligh Water, we’ll dive iconic pinnacles such as E6 and Mount Mutiny, where nutrient-rich upwellings attract pelagics like tuna and mackerel, creating a bustling metropolis of marine life.
Nai'a will spend time exploring the magnificent Namena Marine Reserve, a sanctuary of biodiversity. Here, you can drift along the stunning coral walls of North Save-a-Tack Passage, marvel at the giant sea fans and soft coral trees at Kansas, and explore the intricate coral formations of Two Thumbs Up and The Tetons. The reserve is a haven for macro life and big fish alike, with frequent sightings of Napoleon wrasse and reef sharks.
Fiji’s legendary soft corals will be on full display at sites like Vatu-i-ra's Cat's Meow and UndeNAI’Able, where currents ignite the reefs into a kaleidoscope of pink, purple, and orange. For macro enthusiasts, the reefs of Gau are unparalleled. Sites like Jim's Alley and Anthias Avenue are bursting with critters, offering the chance to spot harlequin shrimp, ghost pipefish, flasher wrasse, and a dazzling variety of nudibranchs. These less-explored sites are where you might even spot a rare Helfrich’s dartfish.
Every dive promises unforgettable encounters. Expect to see patrolling whitetip and grey reef sharks, majestic eagle rays, and with a bit of luck, the distinct silhouette of a hammerhead. The reefs themselves are a spectacle, blooming with life and colour, ensuring that each descent is a new adventure.
Final Day
After a final breakfast with your fellow guests, it’s time to say farewell. Disembark from Nai'a at Lautoka Harbour and reflect on the memories made, colourful reefs, big fish action, rare critters, and the camaraderie of a shared diving adventure.
You’ll leave with not only amazing photos and logbook entries, but also a deep connection to the ocean and the people you explored it with.
