The amazing island of Omadhoo is located in South Ari Atoll and we offer economy dive and stay packages with Ari Atoll Divers to discover the mega-tastic marine life in this part of the central Maldives; whale sharks and manta rays are almost always ever present. Omadhoo is located just a 40 minute speedboat ride from Male.

Ari Atoll is one of the top dive destinations in the Maldives. Fish Head is one of the most beautiful dive spots at the atoll with an abundance of marine life, including reef sharks, Napoleon wrasse, grouper, eagle rays, schools of blue-striped snapper. Omadhoo Thila is a pinnacle with the most healthy and colourful coral life surrounded by caves and overhangs, with barracuda, nurse sharks and hawkfish. There is a Manta Point nearby and a whale shark marine protected area.

Ari Atoll Divers focus on small groups to ensure every diver - whether a beginner or advanced - feels comfortable, safe and well-supported throughout each dive. They have a flexible schedule to tailor each guest's vacation to their desires and needs. Omadhoo is not a very touristic island so guests very rarely see other divers underwater, making the whole experience more relaxed and enjoyable.

Guesthouse accommodation included in these Ari Atoll diving packages is simple yet comfortable. Each of the hotels and guest houses is small and intimate but all have the facilities and services that international travellers expect when on a diving holiday these days - air-conditioning, hot and cold water, private bathrooms, wifi internet. Each package option includes island transfers, diving, and accommodation. Guests have the choice of 'full board' or 'bed and breakfast' packages. There are several small restaurants where guests can enjoy local or Western food.

Omadhoo has some of the best beaches in the Maldives, with fine white sand, lapped by turquoise waters, perfect for swimming, snorkelling, and other water activities. Apart from scuba diving, guests can join trips to snorkel with whale sharks, manta rays, coral gardens, join a sunset dolphin cruise, day visit a water resort, excursions to sandbars and deserted islands, go fishing, rent a jetski, paddleboards and kayaks. Omadhoo has a resident population of around 800 and is a great choice for those interested in interacting local communities.

Ari Atoll Divers collaborates with the several guesthouses in Omadhoo: Bird Beak Beach, Coral View Inn, Nemo Inn, and Green Leaf for their diving packages. Accommodation is chosen based on availability at the time of booking. Wi-fi is available in all the guesthouses.

Ari Atoll Divers is a PADI accredited dive center, just 100m from the beach, with direct access to the local coral reef. Experience the most beautiful dive sites of Ari Atoll aboard their dive ‘dhoni’ boat, equipped with the latest gear and amenities. Max. capacity is 8 divers with 2 dive guides.

A typical boat diving trip starts with a 07:30 am departure, arriving at the first site by 8 am. After a 1 hour dive, it's back on the boat for a 1 hour surface interval. At 10:15 am we jump in for a second dive, usually of 45 minutes. At 12:30 pm, there is a third dive, heading back to the island at 1:30 pm. Drinking water, coffee, tea, snacks (usually biscuits and coconut) are provided. Night dives and shore dives are also available.

The dive boat is a wooden hull dhoni with a maximum capacity of 25 passengers that cruises at 6 knots with a 38 HP marine engine. It is equipped with a guest toilet, fresh water shower, and sun deck. Navigational and safety equipment include a compass, navigation lights, VHF radio, radar reflector, life jackets, bilge alarm system, first aid kit, emergency oxygen, fire extinguishers.

The dive center has full sets of rental scuba equipment, including BCDs, regulators, dive computers, underwater torches, 3 mm wetsuit shorties, masks, snorkels, fins, as well as weight belts and weights. There is guest equipment storage space, a changing room, rinse tanks and drying area. The staff provide a kit transfer and rinsing service. In case of emergencies, there is a decompression chamber facility in Male and at nearby Bandos Resort, and a medical centre on Omadhoo Island itself.

Ari Atoll Divers practices the art of scuba - they do not just go for a dive, rather they always create a plan with clear points of interest. Every dive is not only exhilarating but also safe and enjoyable. They offer coaching and support to those that need or request it. Most guests will leave with positive memories having become better scuba divers.

3 boat dives per day. No scuba on day of arrival and the day of departure. Dive Experience: Certified divers of all levels are welcome at Omadhoo. We will adjust the dives in our packages according to the level of the divers we have on board.

Resort diving includes: Dives (as detailed in the packages above), boat rides to sites, experienced English-speaking divemaster (maximum 4 divers per guide), 11.5 litre aluminium tanks (S80 with K-valve), weights and weight belt, snorkeling equipment, snacks, drinking water, tea and coffee, complimentary guest video.
Diving excludes (mandatory, unless customer provides own): Scuba equipment (incl. dive computer: USD 5 per dive) Unless otherwise stated, all the listed items need to be paid on arrival (cash (USD or MVR), bank card (extra charge bank charge +4%)).
Optional extras: Shore dives, night dives, nitrox fills for enriched air certified divers (USD 8 per tank), torch, diving insurance (can purchase on-site). Unless otherwise stated, all the listed items need to be paid on arrival. Note: prices of items purchased on site are subject to change.

Resort accommodation includes: Bed, breakfast, lunch and dinner (full board packages only), roundtrip Male City-hotel speedboat transfers, internet access, Green Tax, 10% service charge, sales tax on package price. A minimum stay of 5 nights is required.
Accommodation excludes (mandatory): Single supplement on sole occupancy travellers only, payable in advance.
Single Supplement: This is a compulsory additional charge for the sole occupancy of double/twin accommodation. Note: these packages are available to groups of 2+ persons.

How to get there: There are 2 daily speedboats to Omadhoo (on Ari Atoll) from Male International Airport or Male Jetty: 10:30 am and 4 pm (except Fridays - 10:30 am only). The journey takes 90 minutes. Once you arrive at the harbour in Omadhoo, you will be collected and transferred to your accommodation.
When returning to Male International Airport, the speedboat leaves Omadhoo at 7 am and 1 pm (except Fridays - 7 am only).
Note: in case there are less than 5 speedboat passengers, customers will need to transfer to Male Jetty to take the speedboat, by using public ferry that runs every 20 minutes and takes 10 min to reach Male Jetty (nominal cost). Guests will be informed about this 1 week before their package start date.
