There are 15 lovely bures of traditional Fijian design, built for couples/friends and families with modern and stylish interiors. The resort is located in a secluded spot far from other resorts and manages to combine a feeling of being 'off the beaten track' with all the comforts you would expect from a higher end resort. The lawn of the resort runs right up to the water's rocky edge, lapped by the clear waters of the Somosomo Strait where there is some wonderful snorkelling and diving just off the jetty.
Unlike other resorts in Taveuni, Paradise has easy access to Vuna Reef where there are several excellent dive sites, in addition to the sites of the Rainbow Reef. There is even an optional speedboat/jetski transfer service to make your arrival at the resort even more exciting.
The managers of Paradise Taveuni are available 24 hours a day, and the resort is owned and operated by an Australian team headed by an award-winning chef, so the menu is of paramount importance and is varied and imaginative. The resort, which opened in 2007, is staffed by a team of friendly and efficient Fijians who will provide massages, laundry and maid services, as well as jetski and snorkelling safaris to Rainbow Reef. Comfort, style, remoteness and convenient diving are the secrets to Paradise.

There are 10 excellent bures in Paradise, all constructed using local Fijian materials and techniques, and are tastefully furnished inside. There are 5 Oceanfront and 5 Tropical bures set in a tropical garden in 2 rows, with the sea to the front and a volcano as a back-drop. All have ceiling fans, very high quality ensuite bathrooms, a King size bed, and some have 2 additional twin beds. The Oceanfront bures have 2-person outdoor whirlpool tubs with head rests, and several bures have an additional outdoor shower.
There are also 3 Oceanfront Air-conditioned Vale Lomanis with a king-size bed, lounge furniture, modern bathroom with shower, outdoor shower and whirlpool tubs in a private garden, sundeck and sun loungers. These vales suit 2 persons but can also accommodate 3 adults or 2 adults + 2 children.
There are also an additional 2 Oceanfront Ai Air-conditioned Family Vale Lomanis. These vales have interconnecting rooms - 2 bedrooms with 1 king-size bed in 1 room, second bedroom has 1 v bed or up to 4 single bunk beds. Both rooms have lounge furniture, modern bathroom with shower, outdoor shower and whirlpool tubs in a private garden, sundeck and sun loungers. They can each accommodate 2 adults + 4 children or 3 adults + 2 children.

The dive boat departs at 08:30 each morning for 1 dive, and then again at 12:00 noon. Most days the diving centres on the Taveuni dives sites of Vuna Reef, which are within a 15 minute boat ride of the resort. Rainbow Reef daytrips will run when conditions permit and at a supplementary cost.
The custom made 10 metre dive boat, 'Paradise Princess', is made of wood and fibreglass with a full length canopy. It is powered by twin 60 HP Yamaha engines and takes 12 divers and crew. The 15 metre dive boat, 'Lady Paradise', is made of aluminium with a full length canopy, powered by twin 115 HP Yamaha engines. Lady Paradise takes 22 divers and crew. The 7 metre dive boat, 'Adi Vuki', is made of aluminium and powered by a 115 HP Yamaha engine and takes 4 divers and crew. Each boat carries emergency oxygen and has a ladder for ease of exit and entry.
Divers kit up beforehand at the dive centre, where there are scuba equipment storage spaces, rinse tanks, cold water shower and oxygen.
Once you've made 10 boat dives, you qualify for free and unlimited shore dives with your own buddy.

Taveuni dive trips include divemasters, drinking water, dry towels, tanks, weights and weightbelts. The Fiji staff will wash your equipment for you on request.
