MV Sunlight is a 34m long Egyptian liveaboard boat that offers economy diving cruises throughout the Southern Red Sea. It was completely renovated in 2019 and now takes 20 scuba divers to such places as the beautiful and vibrant reefs of St. John’s , Abu Fendera and Fury Shoals, and the Brothers Islands, Daedalus Reef and other marine parks in the south, where pelagic sharks and manta rays are among the chief attractions.
The cabins each have a private bathroom, single and double twin beds with daily housekeeping, and air-conditioning. Toiletries are complimentary, and cabin, deck and beach towels are all provided.
The air-conditioned indoor saloon has both a lounge area with sofa seating, TV and audio entertainment with a large selection of films, a book library, and dining section. Wifi is available onboard too. The upper deck has a partially covered outdoor area, ideal for enjoying the sea breezes and Egyptian sunshine. There is also an open-air bar where guests can recount their dive adventures of the day and enjoy a sundowner or two: Sunlight is known for its fun atmosphere onboard and there is a JBL Bar Studio Speaker with Bluetooth on the sundeck to help with the party atmosphere.
Diving activities are conducted from the 2 accompanying zodiacs or straight from the deep dive platform, depending on access to the site. The dive deck features personal storage crates, wetsuit drying rails, gear rinse tanks, camera table and a charging station, and of course a dive platform with egress ladder for access to/from the sea. There will be an opportunity yo visit the lightouses on Brothers and Daedalus, and sometimes the captain will arrange zodiac rides during surface intervals.
