Day 1
You will be met at Hurghada Airport at the arrivals hall by a representative of Hammerhead liveaboards and transferred in a minibus to Hurghada marina for boarding. The crew will greet you on board with a welcome cocktail, show you to your cabin and allow you time to unpack and prepare your dive gear in the box that will be allocated to you. Dinner will be served inside the saloon and this will be a great opportunity to get to know the other guests on this cruise in the Red Sea. After dinner, the tour leader will provide a detailed boat safety and dive briefing for the next week. The yacht will leave port early morning for the first day of diving.
Days 2-7
The Brother Islands are 2 small exposed promontories in the middle of the sea, with a very high concentration of marine life. The walls feature sponges, anemones and hard and soft corals, giving an astonishing variety of colour to the underwater world. It's very common to see sharks at the dive sites around the islands. Scalloped hammerheads and grey reef sharks, silvertip and whitetip reef sharks. At Big Brother there is a wreck that can be dived when the conditions are right, especially if it's not too windy. It's the Numidia that lies between 5-8m, completely covered with hard and soft corals. and gorgonians. The reefs at Daedalus and Elphinstone are home to schools of surgeonfish, fusiliers, trevallies and colourful reef fish. Hammerheads, oceanic whitetips and thresher sharks can be seen here, as well as manta rays, usually during the summer months.
3 dives a day are the norm in the Red Sea marine parks, with a couple of morning dives followed by a 3rd dive in the afternoon. After a detailed briefing from the guide, you and your buddy will plan and execute your dives. Of course, you are welcome to join the guide for your dives.
Delicious meals will appeal to every diver's appetite and taste, involving international and Egyptian cuisine, plus many incredible Arabic delicacies. Meals are served buffet style in the dedicated dining area of the main deck, with great seaviews. A pre-breakfast, breakfast, lunch and afternoon snacks will each be followed by dives. Dinner is after the night dive. Biscuits, bread/toast, candy bars, cakes and fruit are available throughout the day. With prior notice the boat can cater for special dietary restrictions such a halal/kosher, vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free. Tea, coffee, soft drinks and drinking water will keep you hydrated. There is a coffee corner in the saloon and an open-air bar for evening drinks. Alcohol is not sold onboard but guests may bring their own to consume during the trip (staff can help in this purchase before departure).

Days 2-7
You will dive at some very special and world famous reefs and wrecks. Ras Mohamed is one of the best kept national parks in Egypt. Its waters are rich in nutrients, attracting pelagics, and in the summer months even schools of scalloped hammerheads might visit. The most famous wreck in the Red Sea, the SS Thistlegorm, will leave you in awe: it was sunk in 1941 after being bombed by the German Luftwaffe and lies upright on the sea-bottom at 32m. With its historical cargo of World War II machinery and equipment, all neatly stowed in its open holds, the wreck of the Thistlegorm would be a highlight of diving anywhere in the world. The Rosalie Moeller, carrying a cargo of coal, suffered the same fate just 2 days later. The north side of Abu Nuhas features 4 wrecks on a steep sloping reef layered with table corals. The wrecks here - the Giannis D, the Carnatic, the Chrisoula K and the Kimon M - are an attraction point for divers from all around the world, as they are now encrusted with beautiful corals that attract lots of reef fish. Inside the wrecks expect to find thousands of glassfish.
The Straits of Tiran are one of the most famous diving areas in the Red Sea. The strong current brings plenty of nutrients and schooling fish to the reef, tempting pelagic fish in from the open water. Large schools of barracuda and jacks are common here, as are larger predators including several species of shark.

In the deep south of Egypt you will have the chance to dive St. John’s Reefs, the healthiest and most colourful in the Red Sea, with their fantastic drop offs, pinnacles, canyons, caves and tunnels, and amazing hard-corals. There is a lot of marine life too, such as barracuda, different types of reef shark, sometimes even turtles, Napoleon wrasse, dolphins, dugongs and mantas. The Fury Shoals is a vast reef system. Sha'ab Claudio is a classic dive with its famous swim-throughs and huge porites corals, Malahi with its mazes and friendly turtles, and Abu Galawa Soraya with its fantastic coral garden and a wreck of a private sailing boat smothered with glassfish. Sataya, with its resident spinner dolphin population, is a must for snorkelling between dives, as well as having some good underwater offerings.

One of the more current-swept regions of the Red Sea is Rocky Island. Here the nutrient-rich water movement gives rise to healthy gorgonian fans, black coral trees and sponges. Often found sheltering in quieter spots are turtles, grey reef sharks, silvertips, and perhaps also mantas and dolphins. Manta rays and dolphins are also common visitors. Zabargad island is a site populated by soldierfish, wrasses and schools of snappers. It features walls, drop-offs and shallow coral gardens.

Day 1
You will be met at Hurghada Airport at the arrivals hall by a representative of Hammerhead liveaboards and transferred in a minibus to Hurghada marina for boarding. The crew will greet you on board with a welcome cocktail, show you to your cabin and allow you time to unpack and prepare your dive gear in the box that will be allocated to you. Dinner will be served inside the saloon and this will be a great opportunity to get to know the other guests on this cruise in the Red Sea. After dinner, the tour leader will provide a detailed boat safety and dive briefing for the next week. The yacht will leave port early morning for the first day of diving.
Days 2-7
The famous Brother Islands are 2 undersea mountains that rise from the depths and act as a magnet for sea life, offering breath-taking drift dives with a wide variety of pelagics. Their walls are covered in sponges, soft corals, black corals and gorgonian seafans, lending an astonishing variety of colour. Bucket list encounters include hammerheads, grey reef sharks, silvertips, whitetip reef sharks, thresher sharks and manta rays, especially during the summer months. Big tuna, schools of trevallies and snapper cruise by in the blue. You may also dive on the wreck Aida II, an Egyptian supply vessel, and the Numidia, a cargo ship that lies in the shallows of Big Brother Island. They are covered in soft and hard corals and are unforgettable.
The most famous wreck in the Red Sea, the SS Thistlegorm, will leave you in awe: it was sunk in 1941 after being bombed by the German Luftwaffe and lies upright on the sea-bottom at 32m. With its historical cargo of World War II machinery and equipment, all neatly stowed in its open holds, the wreck of the Thistlegorm would be a highlight of diving anywhere in the world. The north side of Abu Nuhas features 4 wrecks on a steep sloping reef layered with table corals. The wrecks here - the Giannis D, the Carnatic, the Chrisoula K and the Kimon M - are an attraction point for divers from all around the world, as they are now encrusted with beautiful corals that attract lots of reef fish. Inside the wrecks expect to find thousands of glassfish. Safaga has some great diving too, offering a combination of shallow reef dives like Panorama Reef, and drop-offs.
3 dives a day are the norm in the Red Sea, with a couple of morning dives followed by a 3rd dive in the afternoon. After a detailed briefing from the guide, you and your buddy will plan and execute your dives. Of course, you are welcome to join the guide for your dives.
Delicious meals will appeal to every diver's appetite and taste, involving international and Egyptian cuisine, plus many incredible Arabic delicacies. Meals are served buffet style in the dedicated dining area of the main deck, with great seaviews. A pre-breakfast, breakfast, lunch and afternoon snacks will each be followed by dives. Dinner is after the night dive. Biscuits, bread/toast, candy bars, cakes and fruit are available throughout the day. With prior notice the boat can cater for special dietary restrictions such a halal/kosher, vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free. Tea, coffee, soft drinks and drinking water will keep you hydrated. There is a coffee corner in the saloon and an open-air bar for evening drinks. There will only be 2 dives on the last day of diving as the boat will then sail back to port for the final evening. You can then take a look around the marina or go for a drink.

Elphinstone is home to schools of surgeonfish, fusiliers, trevallies and colourful reef fish. Sharks can occasionally be seen here too. Safaga has some great diving too, offering a combination of shallow reef dives like Panorama Reef, and drop-offs, as well as an unforgettable shipwreck. The Salem Express was a 100-metre ferry boat and remains one of the largest accessible wrecks in the Egyptian Red Sea and diving it is a must for every experienced scuba diver, as long as you can handle the nature of the recent tragedy. It is now covered in hard and soft corals and hosts frogfish, blue-spotted stingrays, schools of angel and butterfly fish.
