MY Excellence is a stylish purpose built Hurghada liveaboard running diving charters around some of the best dive sites of the Southern Red Sea, both in Egyptian and Sudanese waters. Up to 24 divers can be accommodated in 12 twin and double en-suite cabins. 4 of the cabins are on the upper deck giving superior views and more natural light.
The decking is teak wood and all the interior spaces are tastefully furnished in oak and mahogany and are comfortable. You can hang out in the large air conditioned lounge and dining room on the main deck which comes complete with full multimedia entertainment, free internet facility, and even a bar for those post dive tipples. Day 1
The MY Excellence departs from Hurghada Marina. Check in is not before 17:00 hrs on the first day of the cruise. You will be picked up from Hurghada Airport by a representative of the Sea Serpent Fleet who will also help you with the visa on arrival procedures, retrieve your luggage, and take you to the marina which is only 20 minutes away. The tour leader and the rest of the liveaboard crew will welcome you on board. Once all the guests arrive there will be a briefing that introduces the boat amenities, the crew, and the main details of the safari you are about to enjoy during this fantastic diving vacation in the Red Sea. Dinner will be served in the saloon. The boat will leave port in the early morning hours, heading towards the first dive site of the trip.
Days 2-7
This Red Sea diving tour will give you several dives at the most famous wrecks in the northern Red Sea, including the famous 4 wrecks of Abu Nuhas, a shallow reef that has claimed more ships than any other in the Red Sea. The wrecks are covered in soft and hard corals and they are perfect subjects for underwater photographers. Another couple of very famous wrecks are the SS Thistlegorm and the recently discovered Rosalie Moeller. These are World War II wrecks that were bombed by the Germans while on a mission to deliver a cargo of ammunition and war materials to the British troops. With its historical cargo of World War II machinery and equipment, all neatly stowed in its open holds, the wreck of the Thistlegorm would be a highlight of diving anywhere in the world.
You will also dive in the Ras Mohamed National Park, located in Sinai and famous for its breath-taking walls, rich in soft corals and gorgonian fans, that are visited by huge schools of schools of snapper, trevallies and tuna. Turtles, blue-spotted sting rays, crocodilefish, scorpionfish and lionfish are always present. A real paradise for divers. The 4 famous reefs of the Strait of Tiran (Jackson, Woodhouse, Thomas and Gordon) are often visited by large pelagics in search of nutrients by the currents.

You will surely have fun while diving drop-offs, wrecks, and huge gorgonians and colourful soft corals that are home to octopus, lionfish, nudibranchs, frogfish, large schools of fish: an underwater photographer's dream! Bucket list encounters include hammerheads, oceanic whitetips, whale sharks, thresher sharks and manta rays. Lots of curious turtles, Napoleon wrasse and whitetip reef sharks will be common encounters on several occasions.

Photographers will appreciate the colourful fans and corals on the reefs and drop-offs. This route also includes St John’s Reefs, one of the most famous areas in the deep south and the healthiest reefs in Egypt. Larger creatures sighted here include silvertip sharks, grey reef sharks, whitetips, turtles, Napoleon wrasse and mantas. If you are in luck you might even run into a dugong or 2. Silvertip sharks and grey reef sharks are often present in the blue and if you are in luck there may also be mantas and dolphins.

There are a variety of topographies to experience here: drop-offs, tunnels, pinnacles and more. Creatures to be sighted here include sharks such as whitetips, grey reef sharks and silvertips. Also in the blue you should look out for manta rays, turtles and Napoleon wrasses. Smaller creatures around the hard corals are nudibranchs, lionfish and frogfish.

Afternoon snacks are served after the 3rd dive, such as fried coconut, fresh fruit such as mango, water melon and guava, pizza, bread sticks and chocolate biscuits.
Day 8
Wake up with a light breakfast before checking out. You will be transferred back to Hurghada Airport.
