Launched in 2020, the M/Y Nirvana is a 40 meter long Bureau Veritas certified liveaboard yacht offering dive cruises in the Philippines. This means an unparalleled level of luxury and comfort, with an advanced steel hull design for superior stability leading to smooth sailings at a cruise speed of 12 knots.

22 guests and 13 crew can be accommodated in the spacious and well-appointed air-conditioned cabins which showcase panoramic views on the main upper decks. Each cabin has a TV with bluetooth connection for in-room entertainment, and an en-suite bathroom facility. The spacious dedicated restaurant on the main deck has added touches of class such as a state of the art coffee vending machine and a wine cooler. The galley offers amenities for personalized choices in food and beverages. All cruises in include free local beer and wine.

The Nirvana offers all the conveniences of home and more. Onboard you will find an extensive array of recreational facilities such as an air-conditioned lounge with a fully equipped media centre, a large upper deck and sun deck with fixed loungers, seating couches and Jacuzzi, and an 'al-fresco bar'. A full range of aqua-sports like kayaks and paddle boats are also available. With an ample beam of 9m, there is always plenty of space onboard.

Recognizing the special needs of divers, there is a spacious dive deck with personal spaces, cockpit style storage areas, fresh water cleaning tanks and 2 camera rooms with charging ports. There are also 2 bathrooms, plenty of shower heads, and an air-conditioned compressor room supplying both nitrox and air. Dives are usually made from the 2 x 6m 60 HP motorised RIBs. Functioning in an ecologically sensitive manner, Nirvana offers reef and ocean conservation programs and has a certified sewage treatment plant and fresh water makers for all guest and vessel needs.

There are 12 air-conditioned cabins with en-suite private bathrooms. There are 6 x 12 sq m cabins on the lower deck, 4 x 14 sq m cabins on the main deck, and 2 x 13 sq m Suites on the upper deck, Each cabin has a double bed, but most can be converted to twin bed.

Days 2-6
On this cruise you will dive some of the best sites of the southern Visayas region around Cebu Island, Bohol and Dumaguete. You will have the opportunity to encounter hammerhead sharks at Cabilao, turtles at Balicasag, huge schools of sardines at Moalboal, huge schools of trevally at Apo Island, and muck diving at Dauin. And at all locations, there will be an overwhelming amount macro life - ghostpipefish, seahorses, frogfish, ribbon eels, innumerable species of shrimp, nudibranch, cuttlefish and octopus. It’s an incredible tour in the heart of the wonderland that is the Coral Triangle. There will be 4-5 dives per day and a total of 20-25 dives during the trip.
The menu onboard is varied and the food plentiful. Breakfast will be buffet cum 'a la carte ' (eggs, waffles, pancakes to order), lunch will be buffet, and dinner will be a 4 course plated meal. This cruise either runs from Cebu to Palawan or in reverse. If departing from Cebu, you will be met at Mactan airport and transferred to Cebu Yacht Club. If departing from Palawan, you will be met at Puerto Princesa airport and transferred to the port. Guests normally board this amazing liveaboard in the afternoon and settle into their cabins before the afternoon (from Cebu) or evening (from Palawan) departure from port to the dive sites that you will explore the next day.

Days 2-9
On this cruise you will explore the best of the Sulu Sea and the Visayas region. The Tubbataha Reefs National Park is an UNESCO World Heritage site in the Sulu Sea in the middle of the Coral Triangle. There are 370 types of coral, 600 species of fish, 12 species of cetacean. The atolls are a great area for shark action with species such as guitar, blacktips, white tips, grey reef sharks, silkies, hammerheads and whale sharks. Other large marine life includes dogtooth tuna, giant trevally, barracuda, turtles and manta rays. The walls are adorned with beautiful soft corals and lots of cleaning stations. The shallows are made up of hard coral gardens.

Notes: Minimum age requirement is 4 years old. Children must be accompanied by a designated responsible adult at all times.

Dive experience: Tubbataha trips require minimum of 40 logged dives and advanced certification, all other trips require basic open water certification. Nirvana recommends all divers adhere to the recommendations made by their training agency regarding the completion of a SCUBA skills review before diving. Most agencies recommend a review if no diving has taken place for 6 months. This can be booked and made onboard if necessary. Evidence of the date of the divers’ last dive should be shown in a log book to avoid problems on check-in. Nirvana reserves the right to restrict diving activities if the instructor has any doubts about diver safety.

Cruise price per person includes: Cabin accommodation with air-conditioning, breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, drinking water, hot drinks, soft drinks, local beer and wine, transfers to and from the boat-local airport/hotels, port and park fees (Tubbataha trips only), dives (as detailed in the trips above), 4-5 experienced English speaking divemasters, tanks, weights & weight belt.

Cruise price per person excludes (mandatory, unless customer provides own): Scuba equipment rental (US$ 280 per 6 night trip), dive computer US$ 70 per 6 night trip, port and park fees (Visayas trips only: US$ 150), torch (US$ 55 per 6 night trip), surface marker buoy (SMB), fuel surcharge (US$ 100), diving insurance. Unless otherwise stated, all the listed items need to be paid on arrival (cash or card).

Optional extras: Nitrox for enriched air certified divers (US$ 155 per 6 night trip), 15 liter tanks, other alcoholic drinks. Unless otherwise stated, all the listed items need to be paid on arrival.

How to get there: Nirvana departs from one of 2 ports:
Puerto Princesa: You are required to book a return flight to/from Puerto Princesa Airport (PPS) on Palawan Island. Domestic connections are possible from both Cebu and Manila.
Cebu Yacht Club: We recommend booking your international or domestic flight in to Mactan International Airport, Cebu (CEB).
For all routes, the operator will handle your local airport/hotel to boat transfers. Boarding begins at 2 pm. The boat leaves Puerto Princesa at 7 pm, or leaves Cebu at 4 pm. The last dive of the trip will be at around 2 pm. Disembarkation is 8-9 am. Please wait at least 18 hours before flying after diving.

Single supplement (if you do not want to share accommodation): This is optional - single travelers may choose to share a cabin or pay a supplement of 85% of the normal published price for their own cabin.

Dive clubs and group discounts: Pay for 10 guests and 1 extra person can join the cruise free of charge (total 11+ guests).
