MSY Mola Mola 2 is a cozy and modern 35m mono-hulled motor yacht built from ironwood in traditional Indonesian style. It operates affordable liveaboard diving safaris around Raja Ampat, Komodo and the greater Banda Sea region.

Up to 20 guests can be comfortably accommodated onboard in cabins with ensuite private bathrooms. Guests are catered for with delicious international and traditional Indonesian cuisine cooked fresh every day with locally-sourced ingredients.

The air-conditioned lounge includes a full entertainment system with TV, DVD, music system, books, magazines and games. For those that prefer more time on the water, there is a paddleboard, sea kayak, and a banana boat.

There are 2 motorised tender boats that take divers to the sites (size: 12 pax and 6 pax), and both 12 and 15 litre tanks available as well as DIN adaptors and free nitrox. Dive guides are well-trained, friendly and knowledgeable, and adopt a 'safety comes first' attitude. Dive depth is limited to 30m with a maximum dive time of 60 minutes. Photographers will appreciate the separate rinse tanks for cameras and camera table on the dive deck plus the dedicated camera room with multiple power stabilisers. For added comfort and convenience the deck includes a 2 toilets and 3 fresh water showers.

Mola Mola 2 has 9 teakwood cabins - 4 upper deck cabins with seaview windows and balcony, 2 with double beds and 2 with twin beds; 4 twin bed cabins and 1 quad bunk bed cabin on the lower deck with portholes.

Day 1
You will be met by the Mola Mola 2 crew at Sorong Airport and transferred to the harbour where the yacht is anchored. Its crew and other guests await you. After a welcome drink and boat safety briefing, you will be assigned to your cabin. After lunch, you can set up your dive gear and prepare for a check dive around Matan Island. In the evening, after dinner, the liveaboard will head north to the Dampier Strait.

Days 2-6
You will soon discover why Raja Ampat is considered as a world class diving destination. Enjoy the abundance of tropical fish around pristine soft and hard corals, including snappers, soldierfish and anthias. The macro marine life is also excellent. From frogfish to pygmy seahorses, pipefish to nudibranchs of every form and colour. A wide angle lens will also be necessary for your pictures to snap as trevallies, barracudas, mantas and sharks, plus the endemic spotted wobbegong, even in shallow waters. Day after day you will want to extend your bottom time!
From the first day of diving you will enjoy the routine of you safari starting with a wake up call and a light breakfast followed by the 1st morning dive at around 07:30 am. Spend your surface interval enjoying a larger breakfast of coffee, tea, cereal, toast and eggs before the 2nd dive at 10:30 am. All meals will be served in the air-conditioned dining room. The menu features tasty and varied dishes, from local Indonesian to international cuisine - Shabu-shabu, Yellow rice and seafood BBQ. There is a bar and 24 hour tea and coffee making facilities.
On the final full day there are 2 morning dives scheduled then after lunch Mola Mola starts its way back to port.

Day 7
Enjoy a final breakfast before saying goodbye to this fantastic liveaboard and crew. Transfer back to Sorong airport, where the crew will assist you with check in procedures.

You will be met by the Mola Mola 2 crew at Sumbawa Besar Airport and transferred to Badas Port where the yacht is anchored. Its crew and other guests await you. After a welcome drink and boat safety briefing, you will be assigned to your cabin. After lunch, you can set up your dive gear and prepare for a check dive at Tanjung Menangis. In the evening, after dinner, the liveaboard will head along the coast.

Days 2-5
This special cruise includes an excursion in to Saleh Bay to dive or snorkel with whale sharks. You will spend time with these amazing creatures that are attracted to the bay the fishermen bagans. The liveaboard will also visit Sumbawa during the safari, which is famous for its clear waters, healthy corals and one of the best reefs in Nusa Tenggara: beautiful corals, reef sharks, sea snakes and a lot more.

In the evening, after dinner, the liveaboard will head to the park.

Days 2-6
Komodo National Park, of myth and legend where dragons roam, is surrounded by rich nutrient-rich waters where a kaleidoscope of colour and life awaits intermediate and advanced scuba divers. Expect to see schools of reef fish gathered around amazing hard and soft coral formations that attract big hunters like barracuda, trevallies, tunas and reef sharks. The strong currents attract mantas, dolphins, sunfish and eagle rays. Look out for critters too as they will be everywhere, from submerged walls to sandy flat bottoms, expert dive guide will help locate them - pygmy seahorses, ghost pipefish, frogfish, rhinopia, nudibranchs, ribbon eels, sea apples and blue-ringed octopus, to name just a few.

Dive experience: Open water diver certification and a minimum of 30 logged dives. This is a requirement.

Cruise price per person includes: Cabin accommodation with air-conditioning, breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, drinking water, hot drinks, roundtrip airport transfers, dives (as detailed in the trips above), experienced English-speaking divemasters (max. 4 divers per guide), tanks (DIN/yoke), weights and weightbelts, snorkeling equipment.

Cruise price per person excludes (mandatory, unless customer provides own): Scuba equipment (US$ 40 per day), dive computer (US$ 10 per day), port and park fees (Raja Ampat/Banda: US$ 200 per trip, Komodo/Sumbawa/Alor: US$ 25, per night). Unless otherwise stated, all the listed items need to be paid on arrival (bank card or cash - USD, IDR).

Optional extras: Soft drinks, alcoholic drinks, enriched air nitrox for certified divers (US$ 120 per trip), torch (US$ 5 per day), 15 litre tank (US$ 80 per trip), dive insurance. Unless otherwise stated, all the listed items need to be paid on arrival. Note: prices of items purchased onboard are subject to change.

How to get there: Guests are collected from the local airport or hotels based on their flight schedules and taken to the boat. The Mola Mola will depart from port around 10 am - 12 noon, depending on the clearance process.
Raja Ampat: These cruises depart from Sorong in West Papua. You can fly directly to Sorong (SOQ) from Jakarta, Ujung Pandang (Makassar) and Manado. From Bali there are convenient connections via Ujung Pandang (Makassar) and Manado.
Komodo: These trips depart from Labuan Bajo). You can fly direct to Labuan Bajo (LBJ) from Jakarta and Bali.
Alor & Flores: Fly direct to the port of Kalabahi (ARD) from Kupang in West Timor.
Ambon/Banda: Fly direct to Ambon (AMQ) from Jakarta (or from Sorong or Surabaya).

Single supplement (if you do not want to share accommodation): This is optional - single travellers may choose to share a cabin or pay a supplement of 50% of the published price for their own cabin.

Dive clubs and group discounts: Pay for 14 guests and 2 additional persons can join the cruise free of charge (max. 16 guests).
