Eco Divers Resort Lembeh offers a land-based scuba diving vacation like no other. Similar to a skiing holiday, you will spend all day away from your accommodation, enjoying an activity-filled day scuba diving the Lembeh Strait, before returning to your accommodation in the late afternoon to your very own cottage and open air restaurant.
Eco Divers Resort is a combination of the comfort of a resort and the convenience of a liveaboard. In between dives you can relax on board Lembeh's only day-liveaboard. Each evening you will return to your accommodation and open-air restaurant and lounge.
The resort is located in a quiet area of Bitung town and provides twin or double accommodation, all with private en-suite bathroom facilities. There are 3 rooms In each of the 4 buildings and all feature a common living room with sofa area, coffee and tea making facilities and a camera room with computer. The main social spot is an open air restaurant and lounge with bar, TV and DVD player. There is also an Indonesian spa and digital photo/video centre.
Surface time is spent on board the MV Nautica where you can enjoy the freshwater showers, toilet, sundeck, take lunch on board, study up on some fish books or tend to your photographic equipment. Oxygen and first aid equipment is also stored on board. Free wi-fi internet is available both at the resort and on board MV Nautica. Great for groups, macro-photographers and those seeking a more intimate vacation experience than the bigger resorts can offer, Eco Divers may just be the future of Lembeh Strait scuba diving.

Resort diving includes:
Dives (as detailed in the packages above), boat rides to sites, experienced English-speaking divemaster (maximum 4 divers per guide), tanks, weights and weightbelts, diving tax, drinking water, hot drinks, snacks. Diving excludes (mandatory, unless customer provides own):

How to get there:
Eco Divers Resort Lembeh is situated on mainland North Sulawesi, approximately 90 minutes from Manado Airport. The resort can provide airport transfers for you. For more information on how to get to Manado see our Manado travel information section.

To experience all the best diving vacation in Manado, we recommend that you book a combination of resorts here to include one in the Bunaken Island and Manado area to dive Bunaken National Marine Park, and one at Lembeh to scuba dive in the Lembeh Strait.
Each of the 4 resort buildings has 3 twin or double rooms, sleeping 6 per cottage. All rooms have en-suite hot water bathrooms with toiletries, air-conditioning and modern furnishings. WiFi is available throughout.

After a chef-cooked breakfast, your air-conditioned vehicle arrives to transport to the Lembeh Strait where you will board MV Nautica at around 8:15 am. Your equipment can all be stored on board during your stay and washed each evening by the staff. There are normally 3 scuba dives per day, with optional mandarinfish dives at dusk, and night dives. You can shower on board, between dives.
Small groups mean a dive guide ratio of a maximum of 4 to 1, increasing your chances of seeing more critters. Diving in the Lembeh Strait is conducted from 2 speedboats, traveling to and from the stationery liveaboard where snacks and lunch are served. Your daytime dives are usually finished by around 16:00 hrs.

Daily transfers from the cottages at 08:00 hrs take 10 to 15 minutes. The speed boat journey time to the MV Nautica is 5 mins.
What Eco Divers Resort Lembeh lacks in facilities it makes up for in terms of individual service. Although there is no swimming pool, other facilities are available. In addition to the communal lounge facilities: TV, DVD, coffee and tea-making, spa treatments, the resort and the MV Nautica both have free Wi-Fi internet, with a desktop computer in each building.
Both the accommodation and liveaboard also have ample charging points and storage areas for your photographic equipment, and each building has a dedicated camera room. The digital centre offers rental of camera equipment and photography/ videography courses.

You are spoiled to 'restaurant standard' when dining at Eco Divers Resort Lembeh. Breakfast is buffet style plus eggs cooked to order, and you will be asked to give your dinner choice at breakfast. Although the menu is varied, with only a maximum of 24 guests in the resort, the chefs will make every effort to cater to your individual needs, another strong point that cannot be claimed by large places to stay.

The dive boats have fire extinguishers, GPS, radio, life jackets, emergency oxygen and first aid kits onboard. The crew first aid trained. At least 1 divemaster is provided for every 4 scuba divers. The nearest hospital is 20 km away.
