How your day out unfolds:

The day starts with an arranged pick up from your hotel between 7:00 and 7:50 am (depending on the location of your hotel) and transfer to the jetty. The boat departs around 8:30 am and hot drinks and fresh fruit are served while cruising to the first dive site of the day. After the dive equipment has been set up, it is time for the dive (around 10 am) which usually lasts 45 minutes to one hour.

Lunch and drinks are served during the surface interval. At around noon the divers gear up again as it’s time for the second dive of the day. A third dive can be purchased once on board as well. Afterwards the boat starts to cruise back and arrives at the marina at around 4-5 pm, depending on the dive sites visited.

The dive boats carry a maximum of 24 divers (based on comfort and license numbers), with 4 experienced boat crew and 2 divemasters/instructors on board each boat. The crew and captain has been professionally trained and worked on the boats for several years now. Emperor Divers' friendly and efficient service ensures that the trips run smoothly. They are a PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Centre. The boats also feature a toilet and a shower, saloon, shaded area and sunbathing area. Emergency oxygen, first aid kit, life jackets, GPS and radio are also part of the on board equipment. Rental equipment is in great condition and serviced annually, as are the tanks.

Dive sites:
Our 2-tank Port Ghalib scuba diving trips run throughout the whole year and depart daily to Torombi, Torfet Ali, Marsa Mubarak, Marsa Shouna, Marsa Morena and many more. More distant sites such as Elphinstone, Dolphin House, Abu Dabab (half day) and the Hamada Wreck may be arranged on arrival for an additional supplemental charge..

The Red Sea is considered one of the Seven Wonders of the underwater world. There are more than 1,000 species of fish here and 20% are only found in the Red Sea. Deep drop-offs and steep banks, coral ridges and bommies, one of the most famous wrecks in the world, drift dives, manta ray and sunfish encounters are all part of the diving tapestry. With its colourful and diverse marine life, there is enough here to keep you coming back for more.

The Marsa Alam region is famous for its shark encounters, especially silky and oceanic whitetip sharks. Green turtles and dugongs graze in the seagrass meadows. Also very commonly spotted are guitar sharks and large whiptail rays. Macro lovers will delight in hairy pygmy pipehorses, robust ghost pipefish and even thorny seahorses. For more information on these, visit: Southern Red Sea dive sites.
