The MV Ocean Divine, previously known as the Ocean Dancer, is a luxury wooden hulled boat that provides an outstanding 5-star service, unforgettable meals and, most important, amazing Maldives liveaboard diving trips. With an expert crew and guides that have a wide knowledge of the country and its waters, high levels of comfort and service quality are key components of what makes their cruises special.

Sleeping 16 divers, the boat is beautifully appointed with a huge air-conditioned saloon, where there is plenty of lounging space with Balinese style furniture as well as all the entertainment facilities you could wish for, including large plasma TV, DVD player, music system, Wi-Fi internet facilities, books and games. The yacht also has a huge sundeck area and sunset lounge, fitted with sun loungers, bean bags and comfy furniture. There is a resident Indonesian therapist who will pamper you in the spa room. It has a professional massage table where Balinese, Thai, Swedish and oil massage are available. Energetic guests can use the onboard sea kayaks and SUPs.

The liveaboard cabins are of a similarly high standard, all featuring 1 double bed and 1 single bed, telephones and high-spec ensuite bathrooms. The Ocean Suites have the added luxury of panoramic views and the added luxury of a flat screen TV and DVD player for your in-room entertainment.

The cuisine combines Asían and occidental flavours, and a barbecue dinner under the stars is arranged every week. Meals are served in the open air at the stern of the main deck, otherwise in the indoor saloon area if weather dictates.

There is a 16 metre dive boat which accompanies the Ocean Divine, and which can whisk you to the Maldives dive sites in next to no time. All diving takes place from this accompanying boat, complete with its own compressors and nitrox system, so the dive deck on the Ocean Divine has been converted to a partially shared relaxation area, providing even more space for its guests. There is also a 5m 60 HP Lomac dinghy that is used for island and beach excursions.

Freshly prepared desserts will be hard to resist, but you will have some time before the 3rd dive at 15:00 hrs. Back on board by 17:00 hrs, when snacks and juices will be served. Dinner is usually served at 19:30 hrs, using fish purchased from the local market and imported ingredients from around the world. 2 night dives are scheduled during the week.

Baa Atoll is a popular option between July and mid-November as the southwestern monsoon brings huge concentrations of plankton in to the Northern Atolls and this attracts mantas. Here you will visit and snorkel in the world famous Hanifaru Bay where hundreds of manta rays gather in a spectacular feeding frenzy. Watch them barrel roll as they scoop up huge mouthfuls of nourishing plankton.

Customer reviews:

Customer rating - Excellent
"The boat was fantastic with great facilities. The equipment was good. We used our own so I can't comment on the rental equipment. However, the dive boat was very nice and spacious. The staff was extremely helpful and always seemed to be right there when I needed help." - , USA, 9 March 2011...
