How your day out unfolds:
Our Sharm El Sheikh scuba diving options run throughout the whole year and you can go diving on the Sinai Peninsula at the local dive sites, as well as Ras Mohammed, the Straits of Tiran, Thistlegorm and Dunraven wrecks, and Dahab. The site schedule is arranged locally on a day to day basis, depending on where the guests wish to dive, availability, weather conditions and guests' experience.
A standard trip day begins at approximately 8:00 am and ends around 4:30-5:00 pm. Courtesy return transfers are provided for all hotels in the Sharm area which are beyond walking distance to the dive centre. You are advised to wait outside your hotel for pick-up at around 7:30-7:45 am and driven to the relevant jetty (5-20 minutes). Boat journey times range from 20 minutes to 1½ hours. Please bring your C card, passport (for boat permissions in Sharm El Sheikh) and logbook (proof of 1 logged dive within the last 6 months).
Note: dives on 1st day of all packages are on the house reef and the remaining days are on the boat. This is to avoid divers having problems on the day boat are damaging the experience for other divers. It also means that the boat can always choose the best sites on each day.
The daytrip boats that we offer in Sharm El Sheikh vary in size, generally ranging between 17-28 metres. Typically these are all hard hull boats that cruise at 10 knots and carry between 18-30 scuba divers, taking into consideration comfort levels and license numbers. They have a saloon, toilets and shower, sunbathing area, shaded area, dive deck with ladders and rinse tanks, and kitchen. There are normally 4 boat crew and 2 divemasters per boat. All the boats carry a 40 litre emergency oxygen tank, MFA kit, evacuation procedures, ship-to-shore radio and mobile phone contact, and life jackets.
