Constructed of steel in 2019 for improved durability and safety, this large 42m long motor yacht was designed with divers in mind and certainly lives up to its name among the Red Sea liveaboard industry. Once you step onboard it will quickly become evident that this operator takes care of its boats.

The Sea Legend accommodates 32 guests across 3 decks, including the option of seaview honeymoon suites. All cabins have private bathrooms with fitted shower cubicles, are well-appointed. Meals are served in the dedicated restaurant. 3 large and delicious buffet spreads are offered each day, together with pastries, fruit and juice. There are 5 dining tables, a service counter and a drinks counter. There are 12 friendly crew onboard to attend to guest needs.

There is a huge upper deck air-conditioned saloon lounge with DVD/TV/video and a music system. A wifi facility is also provided. The upper deck also has an open-air social area with comfy seating and bean bags. On the flybridge there are sun loungers, and a covered area with a bar, where you can socialise after each day of magnificent Red Sea scuba diving.

The dive deck and kit up area is particularly spacious, with enough room provided by the 9.75m, beam for 3 rows of seating.There are 2 x 6.5m long 40 HP speedboats for transporting divers to the sites. The Sea Legend takes pride in its attentive dive guiding service to ensure guests have a memorable Red Sea diving vacation. A nitrox membrane system has also been installed.

Dive experience: For diving trips in the marine parks you need have at least 50 logged dives as per Egyptian law. For cruises to the St. John's a minimum of 30 logged dives is strongly recommend. If these requirements are not fulfilled the dive guides have the right to exclude a diver from challenging dives during the trip.

Cruise price per person includes: Cabin accommodation with air-conditioning, breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, water, soft drinks, hot drinks, return transfers from local airport, dives (as detailed in the trips above), experienced English-speaking divemaster(s) (max. 8 divers per guide, min. 2 guides per cruise), tanks, weights and weightbelts, all taxes.

Cruise price per person excludes (mandatory, unless customer provides own): Scuba equipment (US$ 103 per trip), dive computer (US$ 36 per trip), surface marker buoy, park and port fees US$ 155 per trip. Unless otherwise stated, all the listed items need to be paid on arrival (cash only - EUR, USD, EGP).

Optional extras: Alcoholic drinks (beer and wine), nitrox fills for certified enriched air divers (US$ 62 per week), torch (US$ 31 per week), 15 litre tank (US$ 36 per week), dive insurance, transfers between Hurghada and Port Ghalib/Marsa Alam. Unless otherwise stated, all the listed items need to be paid on arrival. Note: prices of items purchased onboard are subject to change.

How to get there: The Sea Legend liveaboard departs from Hurghada or Port Ghalib. As soon as you enter the arrival terminal in Hurghada or Marsa Alam Airport, a transfer agent will welcome you with a sign of Dive Pro Safari. He will take care of your visa (stamp) and provide you with additional information about your transfer from the airport to the boat. Transfer times are - Hurghada Airport - New Marina Hurghada -15 minutes; Hurghada Airport - Port Ghalib - 3,5 hours; Marsa Alam Airport - Port Ghalib -10 minutes. The first and last nights of the diving trip are spent in port. Guests arrive and board on the first day after 4 pm. The last dive of the trip will be at around 11 am on the penultimate day. Guests depart latest at 10 am on the final day. Please wait at least 18 hours before flying after diving.

Non-diver rate: 10% discount off the published price.

Single supplement (if you do not want to share accommodation): This is optional - single travellers may choose to share a cabin or pay a supplement of 50% of the published price for their own cabin.

Dive clubs and group discounts: Pay for 10 guests and 1 extra guest can join the cruise in a lower deck cabin free of charge.

Whole boat charter rate (per night): Pay for 29 guests and 3 additional guests can join free of charge.

Add-on package: If you have time, we strongly recommend that you consider some of the wonderful antiquities tours in Egypt which can add a whole new dimension to your holiday. Cairo museum's royal mummies, the pyramids of Giza, the Great Sphinx, a glorious cruise down the Nile staying in a luxury cabin, The Valley of the Kings, all of these and more can be seen in packages starting at 6 nights' duration. Other activities such as 4x4 safaris and camel tours are also available as are custom-made packages to suit your needs.
