Dive experience: A minimum of 50 logged dives or Advanced Open Water certification or equivalent is required to join liveaboard trips with Oceanic.
Cruise price per person includes: Cabin accommodation, breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, drinking water, 1 soft drink with lunch and dinner, hot drinks, transfers to the boat from the local airport and hotels, dives (as detailed in the trips above), 2 experienced English-speaking divemasters, tanks, weights and weightbelts, snorkeling gear and 1 intro dive for non-divers, all taxes.
Cruise price per person excludes (mandatory, unless customer provides own): Scuba equipment (US$ 33 per day), dive insurance, harbour fees, diving/park fees and fuel surcharge (US$ 272). Unless otherwise stated, all the listed items need to be paid on arrival (cash only).
Optional extras: Alcoholic and other soft drinks, nitrox fills for enriched air certified divers (US$ 11 per day), torch (US$ 11 per day), dive computer (US$ 11 per day), 15 litre tank (US$ 5 per day). Unless otherwise stated, all the listed items need to be paid on arrival.
3rd passenger in a cabin - 25% off (only applicable for a non-diving passenger or child travelling with guardians, in triple cabins. These require direct consultation in advance). Note: prices of items purchased onboard are subject to change.
How to get there: Komodo: MY Oceanic liveaboard charters depart from Bima, Maumere or Labuan Bajo.
Forgotten Islands: Fly direct to the port of Saumlaki (from Ambon connecting to Jakarta and Makassar) or the port of Kupang (direct to Jakarta).
Alor & Flores: Fly direct to the port of Alor (direct from Bali), the port of Maumere (direct from Bali, or via Makassar from Jakarta or Kuala Lumpur) or the port of Kupang (direct to Jakarta).
Domestic return flights from Bali are arranged by the operator at an extra charge. Some Oceanic trips may use different ports and we will assist you with information on how to get to any departure port.
For more details, including airlines, see our travel information section. Guests are encouraged to arrive at the port of embarkation before noon on the start date, to allow for the check dive in the afternoon and subsequent departure the same day. The last dive of the trip will be at around 12:00 noon on the second last day of the trip. Guests are expected to disembark on the final day around noon at the latest. Please wait at least 18 hours before flying after diving.
Non-diver rate: 15% off the published price.
Single supplement (if you do not want to share accommodation): This is optional - single travellers may choose to share a cabin or pay a supplement of 65% of the published price.
Dive clubs and group discounts: Pay for 5 guests and 1 extra person can join the cruise in a Standard cabin free of charge (total 6+ guests). Pay for 8 guests and 2 additional guests can join free of charge (10+ guests).
Whole boat charter rate (per night): Pay for 9 guests and 3 additional guests can join free of charge (max. 12 guests).

Day 1
The Oceanic staff will meet you at the local airport for your transfer to the liveaboard. You will be greeted with a welcome drink and shown to your accommodation. Once all guests are onboard, a safety briefing is followed by a light lunch, dive briefing and then it’s time for your first dive - a check dive. Get to know your fellow cruise mates over dinner and a drink, a night dive is not normally scheduled for Day 1 as you will be cruising in the evening.
Days 2-10
Ensure that you well fuelled from your 3 meals and various snacks to be prepared for currents, pelagics, muck diving, hammerheads, schooling surgeonfish, and large schools of barracuda. Buffet meals are a complimentary combination of Asian and Western dishes, such as avocado with shrimps, hash brown potatoes, chicken teriyaki, sweet and sour squid, vegetable yasai itame and fresh fruit. Drinks and Nespresso coffee are available too.
Your itinerary will include a variety of underwater topography in the Banda Sea as well as an eclectic mix of critters and pelagics. You have come to the right place, as this exploratory trip never fails to deliver great diving on pristine and colourful corals that attract hundreds of different species of fish, from tiny critters to big pelagics. Even dolphins and whales can be spotted from the boat. Schools of fish will welcome you, especially reef fish such as damsels, anthias, soldierfish and angelfish. Muck diving, pinnacles, boulders, swim throughs and hanging gardens are a few of the diverse sites that are visited. In the Banda Sea's amazingly clear waters you will encounter barracudas, bumpheads, trevallies and myriad smaller creatures hiding in gardens of table coral. The seasoned guides will first point them out for you and then help you identify them for your log book.
From the island of Waigeo in the north to Misool in the south, the Raja Ampat National Park area holds the record of the highest number of underwater species counted in a single dive. The reefs have amazing marine biodiversity, with more than 400 species of corals. Numerous wrecks from the Second World War are also a perfect playground for scuba divers like you.
The sites around the Alor Archipelago have some absolutely world class diving with amazing critters like hairy frogfish and Halimeda ghostpipefish, rhinopias, tiger shrimps, wonderpus, octopus, bobbit worms, pygmy seahorses. Superb macro life, amazing coral and benthic diversity, and schooling fish are the main marine attractions. Whitetip reef sharks, bamboo sharks, schools of fusiliers, surgeons and rabbitfish, giant trevally, turtles, oversized bumphead parrotfish. Spanish Dancers and other nocturnal critters can be seen on several dives. Alor is a place that always gives great pleasure to divers, with its healthy reefs and a high variety of underwater conditions, from strong currents to protected bays, from diving in cooler waters to warmer ones. It has some resident dugongs too.
Day 11
After an early hearty breakfast it is time to pack your gear and say your farewells before disembarking and being transferred to the local airport in time for your onward flight.

Days 2-9
Having enjoyed your first night onboard getting to know your fellow divers, and maybe having ordered wine or beer from the bar, the fun really starts on day 2! Your itinerary will include a variety of underwater topography dive sites as well as an eclectic mix of critters and pelagics. You have come to the right place, as this exploratory trip never fails to deliver great diving on pristine and colourful corals that attract hundreds of different species of fish, from tiny critters to big pelagics. Even dolphins and whales can be spotted from the boat in the Banda Sea. Schools of fish will welcome you in their habitats, especially reef fish such as damsels, anthias, soldierfish and angelfish. Muck diving, pinnacles, boulders, swim throughs and hanging gardens are a few of the diverse sites that are visited. In the Banda Sea's amazingly clear waters you will encounter barracudas, bumpheads, trevallies and myriad smaller creatures hiding in gardens of table coral. The seasoned guides will first point them out for you and then help you identify them for your log book.
The Oceanic divemasters will be able to guide you to all the wonders of the region, including the smallest creatures: such as leaffish, ribbon eels and frogfish. You are sure to discuss your sightings and confirm species with your fellow divers during meal times. 3 buffet Asian and Western meals and a light breakfast and 2 snacks will keep you fuelled while you encounter the likes of glassfish, eagle rays, Napoleon wrasse, reef sharks, tuna and barracuda.
Land excursions include Banda Neira cultural tour (Fort Rotterdam, Governor's House and the nutmeg plantation).
Day 10
The last evening of your cruise will be at anchor in Ambon. Take your time to swap contacts, images and diving stories with your fellow divers and crew. An early morning breakfast is swiftly followed by check out and transfer to your local hotel or airport. Note these trips sometimes run in reverse so please study the departure information.

Day 1
The Oceanic staff will meet you in Sorong for your transfer to the liveaboard. You will be greeted with a welcome drink and shown to your accommodation. Once all guests are onboard, a safety briefing is followed by a light lunch, dive briefing and then it’s time for a check dive! A night dive is not normally scheduled for Day 1 as you will be cruising in the evening. Order a drink from the bar to enjoy with your first evening meal.
Days 2-10
The crew aboard MY Oceanic will ensure that you are well fed with delicious buffet-style meals to sustain you during the cruise. Your day will begin shortly after sunrise with a light breakfast before you start getting excited about the possible encounters on your first dive of the day. Drinks and Nespresso coffee are available too. Lunch and dinner includes a soup or salad, vegetables, rice or noodles and desserts such as fresh fruit or Choux a la crème. Guests are particularly fond of the Japanese and Indian evening meals.

Only 2 morning dives are scheduled for the last full day of the trip as in the afternoon Ondina starts its way back to Sorong where the liveaboard will spend the night moored in the harbour.
