The Baani Explorer has found itself in the unlikely position of being partly responsible for the Palme d’Or award which went to ‘Ocean Nights’ an underwater film which was partly produced on this Maldives liveaboard in 2006.

The film features incredible footage of the activity on coral reefs after sunset and was filmed in a variety of locations: Indian Ocean, Andaman Sea, Banda Sea (Indonesia) and the Red Sea.

Congratulations to those behind the film: Mieke Vulsteke, Andreas Schumacher and Oliver Kirsch.

Owing to increasing popular demand, the film has now been produced in a multi-lingual DVD version including: English, German, French, Dutch, Italian and Russian.
